Job Description
Our client is a leader in IT and software, providing one of the most innovative business software solutions. They are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join their young and dynamic team in Malta. The successful candidate will be working on systems that interface and integrate with the automotive industry biggest players. The training will be provided either locally and/or overseas.
Key Responsibilities
• Developing and maintaining bespoke software development & country specific solutions
• Performing systems deployment and technical support/debugging
• Assisting in System upgrades and patching
• Applying and setting up Automotive Manufacturer interfaces
• Delivering technical IT Administrator training and DMS user level training/consultancy
• Developing Customer/Country specific programs and reports
• Implementing Print Manager Solutions
• Performing effective technical analysis and 2nd line of support
• Handling of Projects technical support
• Building an area of advanced competencies in selected areas of DMS
• Testing of systems and programs
• Making recommendations as to which Product/s to install
• Performing data conversion/s
• Implementing application software on the client’s end
• Training users both internal and external
• Carrying out development, maintenance and query database’s files using the latest technology
Requirements
• A first degree or equivalent in Software Development
• Good knowledge of VB, C/C++, Web Services, XML, SOAP
• Server administration techniques of NT/Linux based platforms will be considered an asset
• A fundamental knowledge of databases such as ISAM, ORACLE, MSSQL would be considered an asset
• Excellent command of both written and oral English
• Good problem-solving skills with the quick decision-making ability
• Good interpersonal and team working skills
• Knowledge of French and/or Arabic would be considered an asset
